Designing and constructing a Corrosion Inhibitor Chemical Injection Package within a limited footprint and a tight timeline posed a unique challenge. To overcome this, PPM Ltd closely collaborated with the EPC to deliver a reliable, fit-for-purpose solution that minimised both the footprint and the project timeline.
During the engineering and design phase, we provided a solution that involved modifying a new chemical injection skid to meet the engineering requirements. This involved integrating two new pumps to achieve the desired flow rate and pressure. The comprehensive specifications included:
The entire system was assembled on a stainless-steel base frame with removable louvered side panels. It included an integral sloping drip tray and drain valve, certified lifting points, and a sling set. The frame and panels were painted as per applicable offshore paint specifications.
The outcome of this project reflected a highly responsive and flexible approach to design, ensuring strict adherence to the end-user's specifications. Comprehensive Factory Acceptance Testing was carried out to guarantee smooth commissioning and operation. Furthermore, delivery was perfectly timed to align with the customer's installation window, showcasing the efficiency and reliability of our project execution.
